Welling Mathematics Cradle of Civilization myth

·         I propose the following hypotheses; the entire concept of the cradle of civilization is flat wrong in almost every aspect.

·         I say this with the following facts

o   Fact 1 there was a glacier age between 150,000 and 4000 b.c.e.

o   Fact 2 invention is the mother of necessity. If you are living in unbearable conditions. The thinkers are the ones who take the top priority. The hunters get better tools when the thinkers have enough to eat.

o   Fact 2a the difference between the indo European societies during the last glacier age and the cultures living in arctic conditions now; now arctic conditions are tough but manageable. Then 60 below zero not just in the middle of winter but when the glacier is on the move. Glaciers during a glacier age move, when they move does not depend on season. Summer, winter, no difference. Hard winters are dealable, if the summer is warm and inviting. But if the summer is not warm and inviting, the spur of “we have to do  better, we need to do better.” Motivation starts.

o   Fact 3 the items left behind are what could survive a glacier age. Almost constant war happening on top of the ancient sites, destroying the evidence proving x happened. The site could be a pivotal moment in history, some major event which took place at the dawn of human thought. But the battle and the destruction the battle brings completely obliterates any trace of the archaeological site. For example, some of the earliest examples of writing can be found in Hungary and Germany. Both have been carpet bombed with high intensity explosives; explosive designed to punch through 30 feet of reinforced concrete. How well would a 50,000 year old village survive such bombardment? If the village survived the construction of the city and the military fortification process to begin with.

o   Fact 4 the cradle of civilization myth is not possible in any way shape or form.

§  The myth of as soon as the glaciers cleared the people could stop their nomadic lifestyle, sit down, and then invent the tools and technology which would allow civilization to grow. This is completely wrong.

o   Fact 4a if you want to explore the idea of the cradle of civilization; start with the general idea of most of the technology needed for civilization was already in existence but the people were by weather patterns forced to migrate.

§  The Animals of a glacier age are tons

§  The weather patterns can dump a dozen or two dozen feet of snow from a white out blizzard in a short few days. 100 degrees below zero for eight months is no joke.

§  Cold snaps can occur. When they do; best have all your affairs in order. If your affairs are not in order you die. House structure solid, food for months if not a year, medicines capable, large enough living quarters so everyone will not kill each other from cabin fever, etc.

§  All the technology needed to establish permanent settlements and the first cities had to be mastered well before the glaciers departed.

o   Fact 4b, just because little site evidence has been located; does not mean ancient highly advanced civilization evidence does or did not exist under some of the oldest civilization infrastructures. Some of the oldest cities Paris for instance the founding of Paris dates back to sometime around the end of the last minor ice age circa 10,000 b.c.e as soon as the ice retreated enough to allow permanent construction. A major megalithic structure stood on the ground Notre Dame now sits.

o   Fact 5 all major ancient cites have archaeological sites under them. Those that have not been destroyed by way of war or worse, intentional destruction. For instance; Mecca, Jerusalem, Paris, Rome, Ur, Babylon, burnt, etc. have all undergone large scale erasing the previous cultures footprint in favor of the current cultures footprint. Several temples in Egypt have the previous Pharaoh chiseled off and the new kingdoms pharaoh name placed next to the defaced name.

o   Fact 6 civilization started where the ice retreated. As soon as the ice was no longer a life and death situation, the first cities were constructed.

o   Fact 7 Civilizations who are forced to cooperate and are forced to cooperate for millennia tend to continue cooperating long past the point where necessity to cooperate has past.

o   Fact 8 it was only after conquest and domination tribes out of the east started to get nasty that life changed from forced CR cooperative to defensive in nature. Where fear was the name of the game instead of cooperation.

o   Fact 9 scratch a lie find a thief. What have the stories and concept of the cradle of civilization been so strongly sold to the western world? What did the people in charge want to steel by propagating the lie? Most thieves what the same things; money and blind faith. So they can do what they want, without their authority questioned.

(I might want to expand each fact a bit. Add more detail. Add tons of references. Possibly expand using links and each fact on its own page?)
