week 7 dq post revision

CBD oil directly affects the nervous system. The nervous system is the same exact mechanism that is used to generate thinking.

Nervous system issues are also in the realm of the field of psychology although it is a field that is on the extreme side of under studied. Well over 90% of the field of psychology is focused almost exclusively upon the applications of addiction and or emergency mental health. But little emphasis on studying real long-term psychological issues, and even less on the structures that cause thinking.

The more I study psychology the more I want to study areas that are virtually ignored to it seems 99% of the entire field of psychology. It is approached by the field of medicine, but their approach is abjectly the wrong way.

They start with gross anatomy, physiology, chemistry, organic chemistry, etc. they do not start with the quantum field, synapses, and build from sub quarks up to gross anatomy.

What have I learned about psychological conditions or treatments that was unfamiliar to me. It is interesting to compare the different “cultures” or different sub disciplines within psychology. When I was taking my final examination for my Bachelors in Psychology at UOP, I had to answer multiple choice questions. I ran smack into a large collection of questions that were so biased the answers were unacceptable.

question; x.

answer

A was the answer if you come from a neuropsychology background

B was correct if you came from behaviorism

c was correct if you came from a cognitive standpoint

d was correct if you were into addiction specifications.

However, if the test giver the person who created the test was a behaviorist than all answers other than what is correct in behaviorism were wrong. Same goes for cognitive. In cognitive a yes that is correct, is a no in behaviorism. The farther into psychology I go the more what I learned in my bachelors has more and more evidnece to back it up. The different disciplines in psychology some are in active and not nice war with other fields; it appears there is some type of a cognitive dissonance being created within the field of psychology itself over what theory is correct and which ones are not.

While a large portion of the entire field is ignoring portions of the scientific method, it appears that instead of staying within the framework of evidence and facts, a hierarchal structure is building. Different fields and disciplines are spending their time jockeying for position instead of following the scientific method and working for answers. Which in itself is a psychological condition that the field itself is creating. Skinner devotees are in open war, and very inappropriate insults are being delivered, because obviously Skinner and his theories have to be top of the hierarchal structure in psychology, despite key aspects of the workings have been proven time and time again to be wrong.

Interesting, the field of psychology has created its own group think psychological cognitive dissonance-based disorder.
