week 9 dq 2 response

You can use quantitative and qualitative research methods to find missing holes in the field of history. Why is the accurate study of history important; every single human alive who has seen a medical doctor has to give some type of history of their medical health. Same thing.

Most GP’s need as much information about their patient’s family medical history as possible. Generations back is asked for.

The most glaring evidence of where “false memories” of events can and does lead to psychotic episodes is when the fictional character of Hawkeye Pierce during the last episode his actions were directly responsible for a mother smothering her baby to death to keep the NK army from hearing them and being subsequently either captured and or killed. Hawkeye could not deal with the fact the mother killed her child, and it was in part his fault. So, he disassociated, his disassociation came out with violent psychotic behavior patterns that he had little to no control over.

Same exact behavior patterns are fictionally written about and performed rather well in the last couple episodes of the Netflix show “Orange in the New Black” where the fictional character of Lorna could not process her infant son born several months premature did not survive. The child died in the NICU. Her brain could not process it, and consequently, when her fiction world was questioned, she struck out to the world with significant levels of violence.

So, we know that when people and cultures react with out of control violence, when questioned they have little to no control over their actions during and /or after. They simply operate based on trying to keep the cognitive dissonance delusional world real and the real-world fiction. Consequently, you can use quantitative of all humans to find the patterns for those acting outside the normal real world is real patterns. Isolate those people who have an unusual reaction to real world stimulation and create qualitative statistical equations to find out exactly where they dissociative. For Hawkeye his trigger was life threatening situations where he was in charge, because fictionally when he was in charge his orders led to the mother’s actions. So later on, when he was put in charge, his actions could potentially lead to another infant being killed. Or in the case of Lorna also fiction, she was ok as long as she was talking about anything not having to do with her baby, but when she talked too much about the progress of her infant son’s delusional life, any questioning of said facts lead to an immediate violent reaction. So qualitatively you can use the “where did the violence come from”, track back to where the person and or group chose to deviate from reality. The use of said investigative tool allows for mental health professionals to narrow down further and further to where each person’s event that caused them to live in fiction rather than the real world.

You can apply this to politicians, where unrealistic and way out of control verbal violence comes into play. The core of the violence (insults, degrading comments, loud, screaming, etc.) comes from said disassociation. Cultures are just as guilty of dissociation and individuals are. Why some cultures have an unrealistic reaction to x stimulation, that x has some core belief that the facts contradict their fictional world.
