His name means striker but that is a veery bad translation Striker is another work for spector, a spector is what rulers use as a symbol of their power.

So in effect the word Narmer means “ruler” or “holy ruler” rule with a spector.

So in a very real transltion; Narmer is not aname but a title meaning. King, Ruler, holy appointed, feurer, czar, emperor, etc.
