Nordic Kings to qualify to be king had to draw their lineage directly from Odin. Which despite the mythology was a real human being; who by behavior patterns, language, customs, etc. is a direct descendant of Esau.

This specific Esau branch attacked north into the stepps, west over the urals, and down into Germany/Austria wehre they encountered the Vanier.

The two battled to a draw; tehn the cultures under negotiation merged.

But a balanced culture will almost always be absorbed into an ultradominant society.
