The Pipes of the Greek god Pan is a musical instrument used by the Satir Pan. A half
human half goat creature who played his instrument to lure young females and
of course wood nymphs into debauchery. The emphasis is on the debothery, not on the concepts that the nymths are a representation of the 8 fixed points in the earths orbit around the sun which science calls the
equinox/solcices. The intimacies between Pan and the females was emphasized
as a tool of the Vatican to condemn sexuality. However the sexuality
is and was just a metaphor regarding each of the 8 are a fixed point in
space. Those fixed points in space are
directly reflected in the cycles of change in a forest. In a city and planes
areas, the cycles of the seasons are more difficult to observe in any other
place than a forest. Where the cycles are clearly marked. Over the course of a year, the planet
travels in a corkscrew around the sun; the sun itself is also moving. The Tunnel
is the path the planet travels on that year long journey. From the side the journey appears
to resemble a snake. Which could be where the Garden of Eden snake originated.
