week 2 dq writing

“The main idea of a paragraph is often called a topic sentence

As the instructions indicate, there is a need to find one of the sentences, copy it over (assuming to make sure the student read it) then to write about this subject. However not every student at Walden wants, needs, desires, or depends upon this form of sentence/paragraph structure.

I knew how to write scientifically when I was 5. My notes would not really exist, this has been rote in my thinking for more than 4 decades. Although I stopped using English to think some of my more complex thinking a long time ago. English is too cumbersome to use to process really difficult ideas and equations with. My notes would not really exist.

My problem in writing is I stray off topic. Which a couple of my classes in previous schools this became a huge beyond measure problem. One specific teacher was so upset by my straying off topic, it produced several emails and one-hour long phone call which on that teacher’s end was close to inappropriate. There were 5 separate stories told of totally inappropriate interactions in that persons class room experiences. It was almost identical to a therapist listening to a trauma survivor relaying the events in question. 45 minutes and 5 separate stories all with the same theme, never stray off topic. For these notes all I can think about is how to not stray off topic. Being able to write for me has rarely ever been a problem. Notes on the other hand have almost always been a problem. But I am dyslexic, so I process information different than being able to write notes effectively. This topic and assignment is not very useful for me. I know how to write, notes are not that helpful, I write much more than wanted.
