week 6 dq post

Post an explanation of a threat to internal validity and a threat to external validity in quantitative research.

In the last month I have brought up and answered a lot of these questions already.

Problem one most of all psychology research leaves out so much foundational details it is unlikely a real solid quantitative study is possible. Simply too much information is left out of the founding equations or the questions asked. Example an IQ test, most people have less than no idea that every IQ test equation matrix is based on how well can each person taking the test operate within the function and structure of a factory. If you have an ability to work in a factory mind, you score higher. If you do not have a mind capable of working in a factory, you will score lower. Most psychologist tests ignore some of the most basic and fundamental aspects of human nature v nurture. The reason is simple, in the very ancient past the books from which modern medicine were derived were courtesy of captured libraries from the descendant cultures from the Old Kingdom of Egypt. Back them Medicine and Psychology were the same subject, but taught in a could not be more different if they tried way. Back then they started with the quantum field, then followed the order of operations up to and through gross anatomy. The back down from Gross Anatomy to the cellular level in order to understand the Electro-Magnetic systems in place which built the physical body eg gestation, then worked to understand how the biology worked and what happened to cause problems which medical science might attempt to fix. As in a therapy, medication, or surgery. Post first the Hyksos dark age, then the Dorian Dark age, then the Roman semi dark age, then the Vatican society crippling dark age all the above information was purposely lost/destroyed. All so that the powerful could seize control and only allow information which would allow them to gain more power and limit any information which might question their authority.

That 4000-year-old Hyksos behavior pattern is part of every single aspect of academics. Which most if not all scholars ignore the built in limits, political pressures, and ways differnet cultures process information.

Then add observational bias along with the built-in cultural arrogance and egotism. That is where all research should not only start, but all research needs to address those topics and how those variables were accounted for. Which few if any article I have read even address those all to real variables, let alone find a way to test around those fixed points.

Explain a strategy to mitigate each of these threats.

It is time to alter the ref/citation system in academics. Other the an entire system overall. Being able to  use the technology of the 21st century to remove the fictions and other mistakes which have been carried forward not because they are correct but because people in charge like the fiction idea for some reason. Being able to have a link history in e form going back 100s if not 1000s of years can eliminate some of the research bias. Of course disclaimers will be required since some of the writings were so prejudice they hardly count at all regarding evidence and the scientific method but just because tree a was not allowed to be discussed because it is pure fiction,  doe snont mean 20 generations later some of the ideas which have been repackaged enough are not still alive and well I current research. They were fictins in ther original or semi original form, and are still fictions but the packaging changed to make it appear the idea has validity. Example in the IQ tests, those became built so the Prussian Empire could more effectively move their agrarian culture to an industrial one. In order to build the world dominating war machine they had been working towards since they were still called Teutonic Knights. Good luck finding the 50 articles it took me to recreate that foundation. Fortunately, I already knew that the Munich branch of the FreiKorp was a branch of the Prussian Military so when I found the IQ test and traced its scholars back, the motivation for the tests became stunningly obvious. However, said information is not wanted in academics. How to fix said information, open you the ref/citation applications into the 21st century to allow subject specific deep dives into research. Not just surface searches. If most of the information gathered for a study has between a mild bias and a black hole of a bias, that information is key to the order of operations. After those facts are established it is then possible to being the real mathematics in adding up the collected data. Forming good solid questions.

Then, identify a potential ethical issue in quantitative research and explain how it might influence design decisions.

What ethical issues are not present. But the ethical issue most prevalent is how will whatever study is being examined and or being created negatively affect the participants. Brining harm to the participants is against every ethical rule, however in the pursuit of science sometimes a bit of bending is needed which requires the approval of an ethical board. Which their rules and regulations then become the focus of what is acceptable and what is not. Quantity indicates a larger scale study, with a larger quantity of participants. However, the larger the gross the more unethical some questions become. No where in the neighborhood of easy to navigate different cultures definition of ethical behavior. A lot of institutes have their own rules and regulations. The question becomes can you work with the school you are working in with when producing papers. Can you trust the papers coming from questionable ethical boards.

Finally, explain what it means for a research topic to be amenable to scientific study using a quantitative approach.

Do the parameters of the study align up or can the variables be used effectively using established quantitative equation formats.
