week 1 dq response

Thank you for illustrating the point of my post.

I would not have guessed this is how to answer this question. The materials provided lead me to understand this to be a question specific to how to conduct research. Not what type of research would I like to conduct.

Your topic is interesting but the variables you want to track will not lead to a solid conclusion. The American penal system has a long and violent history which much like the slave trade most of its true history is either flat ignored or worse purposely ignored.

The American Slave Trade which for up until a few decades ago were in part combined with the penal system did not start circa the early 1500s in America. Both started much earlier by millennia. The American slave trade was in two parts, one it was about separating native Africans from evacuated (descendant Jews) who had fled out of Egypt circa 625 ce, a huge amount of the Egyptians who fled from the Islamic invasion had evacuated out of Italy circa the Crucifixion circa 33 ce and its genocidal aftermath.

I could easily go on and on about how different methodologies are needed to track down each part and portion of the different aspects of research and evidence. Both the American penal system and the slave trade are in part outcomes from the Trojan War. Which itself it part of a larger more intense sequence of events and rage behavior pattern over the Pyramids of Egypt. The amount of detail and data I left out which all tie into western culture penal systems is intense to say the least.

There is not a single worth their salt medical practitioner who does not take into account the patients history. I do history.
