week 1 dq to the teacher

For me one of the things about academics that performs an Irish jig on my last nerve is the “I am easy and real simple to deal with”. I have heard that sentence from dozens and dozens of teachers and fellow students who think they are absolutely the lowest maintenance people around, but in reality, they have parameters some of which were so unbelievably strict they were offended by a comma out of place. While they believe they are super cool as a teacher, they are in reality extremely not. It is an interesting phenomenon. This behavior pattern extends into the field itself. Introducing a new idea into a fixed group of people who said “yes yes we love te scientific method. All research s welcome”. If the new research goes against some of their core beliefs, good luck not being ridiculed out of the room.

For this class, research methodology for me it is all about trying to determine how to best go about actually performing research.

Research for me has proved to be a life calling. However, the reception of said research is where I run into not the problems of the facts and evidence but the reception of said.

I like to write, more importantly I like to work out scholastic ideas in class.
