A fasces is a collection of sticks which
are a representation of a bound together City of Pillars. The City of Pillars
are a collection of Cities which operated together in a unit. As the Hyksos conquered each city and
either destroyed it or seized it and used whatever they could from the city
to bring it home to make the home city/capital city better. The Fasces represent
each of those conquered cities. In FreeMasonry a given area like a
state has a collection of Lodges. Some areas have a few hundred lodges, some
areas have 1000s of Lodges. All of them operate under the guise of that areas
Grand Lodge. Which is the Metal sticking out of the side of the collection/bundle
of sticks. But the Symbol of the Praetorians
is there were about 15 Fasces which represented the 15 or so Cities which
were all destroyed to allow for the Hyksos descendant Roman culture to gain all of that power, etc. for themselves. In America and other areas, you have
regions/states which have their own Grand Lodge, and a Grand Lodge of Grand Lodges.
In the case of America the DC Grand Lodge is the
Grand Lodge of the State Grand Lodges. But the DC Grand Lodge reports to the
UGLE (United Grand Lodge of England). Which is a replacement an English
Version of the British Grand Lodge which was all but entirely erased from existence
by the Formation of the United Kingdom. |
