Most of the field of Psychology I am not a fan of.

However, the areas I dislike the least are Historiography, Cognition, and Neuropsychology.

Which is an odd combination unless you study how Wilhelm Wundt created his notes for Psychology in the first place.

He created them at Heidelberg University as an indentured servant to the Prussian Empire; specifically the FreiKorp. In my master’s history of psychology class at a differnet institution, I did a deep research dive into the subject and found all kinds of really interesting stuff. Most of my findings have shaped what I want to do with my Psychology career; previous they were just vague directions. Now that has changed.

I like Cognition, but as Wundt pointed out, he liked studying neuro from a nervous system perspective not a behaviorist base. Which is close to the exact opposite of the ideas B. F. Skinner presented. My focus in Psychology is to create a think tank to explore aspects of Psychology which are generally ignored by the rest of the field. Example from 1845, to present there has been two Heidelberg Universities. One in Tiffin Ohio the other in Germany/Prussia depending on how you view the government.

For me the above examples are a wonderful way to explore the cognition which created the first modern psychology textbooks and departments. What were the thinking patterns which created the APA. Cognition is studying how we think, Cognition is studying the difference in the nurture nature of what we are allowed to think about.
