Vancouver Washington This history of Vancouver Washington has just as muddled a
past and just as erased history as Rome. Its first centuries of existence were
erased because the later conquerors had less than zero interest in telling
the truth in any way about the founding of the City. A country which does a census will only count those people
it considered worthy. Being worthy of being included depends entirely the
people, and the powers that be want to count. A city could have 10 million
people but if there are only 20 people which count
as citizens to the census taker than that city has only 20 people in it.
Vancouver Washington State which is just north of the city of Portland suffered
under that exact issue, the city was both huge and possessed close to a
million person population but only a few dozen Americans. The history of Vancouver Washington is the city has been
called more than a few different names over the course of English and
American occupation. But the city was founded first by the Natives of the
region and then with mutual agreement the British settled in the area,
created business’s namely the East India Company (EIC). Then expanded the
city from a small settlement to a 10,000s of person population. At one time the city was called New Castle. The name stripped and the city of New Castle, WA was named
to replace the stripping insult. The conquest and occupation has a date, when the Dutch
(slave trade) backed the Hudson’s Bay Company to split from their founding
company the EIC to operate under the Dutch. When that occurred, the EIC lost
control over the city and lost control over the trade in the area. Vancouver Washington was only one step in the sequence of
areas the EIC and the founding family the Ogle’s possessed which were
stripped from their control by competing countries. It took centuries but the
power and control the of the Ogles EIC
possessed was stripped away and then most of their presence outside the
Caribbean was erased. |
