Define North = Vertical as in the North Star, not North Pole. Men from the Vertical, raised platform, surrounded by shallow water. This has a definition and Kingdom in Britain.

The Age of the Viking is simply a name change from the Previous Age of Britain.

Vikings were the Navy of the Northumberland family, but since English was still about 200 years from inversion. The Gaelic will have to suffice, Yr Hen Ogle DD.

The evidence to back that up is so substantial as to be well behind a theory.

Classically define Viking; a (amber/wood) ship anchored in a small inlet. Most small inlets are considered sacred they are well defined areas. The Ships were both Sacred and made of wood/amber/umber. Captained by at least one member of a Royal family. North (vertical = raised platform, the deck of a ship, the mast, the sails), Umber (the Sacred Ship as well as the amber/wood/umber used to build the sacred vessel), Land (well defined area.

Viking is Norwegian for Northumberland.

The Vikings started as the Navy and Marines of the British founding family the Ogles.

Over the centuries they changed and bad cultures took on the name Viking, but the core and starting group were pure from the British.
