Wands

The Concept of taking the Proficiencies that you have already developed through the discipline of Steel learned in Swords and take those lessons from skills to proficiencies.  That is the lesson of wands, to take a skill and work that skill into something truly workable.

Fehu

Proficiency

This is the start of where you take the skills you have learned and start the journey of high degree of proficiency and eventually to master.  So take those skills you have been working with and start the specific shaping and molding of your skills into something truly proficient talent based skill.

Uruz

Courage

To do this, one of the greatest tools you have is your inner strength of will to direct you in the avenue and direction you will need to go into in order to accomplish your goal.  This is where single minded determination comes into the picture in a big way.  Having the courage behind your convictions.  To carry them out till you have reached the level they and you decide is correct.

Thurasaz

Ground

Your boundaries play an impressively high importance during your journey from skilled to proficient.  Since your boundaries will carry you forward into the realm of directing you away from lesson you do not need and toward lesson you do desperately need.  The more you follow what are the correct lessons, even if those correct lessons are difficult ones that go down like horse pills you still need to learn from them as you learn from the easy lessons.

Ansuz

Center

Center yourself in the knowledge that the more you observe the world around you the better road map you have to go in the directions you will need to be doing toward.  A good road map is all about basic observations of what is truly going on around you.
