I would like to remind my readers that this is an under construction site.  I am adding material on a constant basis each page, each branch sometimes goes months with out, and sometimes each branch gets new and updated information on a daily basis.  So please be patient my research is ongoing, and I find new and interesting things on almost a daily basis.  Keep checking back; see the last updated on the index page.  Any and all questions please do not hesitate to go to the yahoo groups listed below join and ask any question you like.   Your input has helped shape the way I present the information, and helps me to be more definite with issues in showing my work.

Theory Ice age

What an ice age is and how they work

  1. what an ice age is
  2. the temperate zone
  3. advance and retreat
  4. how the affect the environment
  5. advancing
  6. retreating

General overall information of fear based ice age.

I have not seen the movie but I can tell you with some rather extreme certainty that the glaciers do not advance that fast.  Also abrupt climate changes do not happen that fast.

Now cold is one thing, the super cold is very accurate. But a blizzard coming in and dropping 20 to 50 feet of snow at the top of a climate change is simply unrealistic at best.

Sea levels will not rise fast enough to have a tidal wave; tidal waves of that size take geological events to force that much mass water up and in any direction.

If the Atlantic current shuts down, we are in trouble; this will bring on a minor glacier age.  NY will be covered in ice, after around 100 years at the fastest.  The glaciers simply can not move from Hudson’s Bay down to NY that fast they simply do not move quickly.  Or retreat quickly.

The 300 mile buffer zone is a nasty place to be, the buffer zone is an area from 2 mile off the face of a glacier out 200 to 300 miles.  This is a dangerous place and heavy storms will occur but still the glacier faces are still too far away to have the continental US that effected. Canada is screwed but and Alaska has severe problems but not down this far.
