week 8 dq response

The more I learn about psychology the less I like the current hierarchical structure of how the subject is taught. Gross anatomy was created by Leonardo Da Vinci in the later 1400s, his ideas over the next century reshaped the entire concept of what medical school became. But his birth and life were so unacceptable to the hierarchal structure of the time, that he had to clandestinely live in France for most of his life because the Vatican and similar wanted to kill him so so so badly.  I am writing book about these events. Separate events which take on specific subject matters through his life. Being a polymath, his life is not condensable to any one given subject. I am not a fan of the current structure because it takes the flow pattern of academics and medicine and applies that to the field of Psychology. Which is in my opinion the worst way to teach about the field.

To me the field needs to start with the history, then go into the quantum physics ideas. Not the equations the equations for the most part are wrong since they work C wrong. C the speed of light 186,000 mps, is wrong. Light can travel faster and can also bend. Which by default means that C is measured wrong.

Start from the quantum field, and build up to synapses, molecular structures of how to create sparks. Then up to neurons, neuronetworks. Neuropathways. up and up till you have the brain mapped out. Then move into the blood brain barrier. Then move into how the signals from the brain and the body interact, then move into things like behaviorism. Maslows ideas. Freud. Those sequences need to come at the end not at the start. But that is just me. Psychology was not developed one idea led to another idea, led to the next. but it is taught that way. It was taught that way because the Prussian school system likes things to be factory designed, to think in specific ways. To not organize thinking and teaching the way the mind does it, but to control thinking and the way thoughts are organized. Mny people like the current structure because they love the CR and OC of the reward system. They do a task and get a food/grade treat. I do not operate that way. I am not interested in the food reward, I am interested in learning the subject. To understand the mechanics of the subject. But the system is not  directed towards “do you understand it” the system is geared towards “how many food rewards and how large were the rewards you were given” No insults intended.
