week 5 dq response Madyson Wier

1615, there is a problem with this type of discussion. The passions run so deep and hard it is impossible to have a discussion like this in any type of a respectful manner.

The passions are not motivated by facts and evidence, because the facts and evidence are not known. Let me clarify, the first slave ship arrived in the colonies …, but the slave/triangle trade started just a few years shy of a millennium before. But the first millennia of the slave trade almost no one knows about. Which is a huge problem, just because it is “not known” does not mean the scars are not still present, bleeding, and grossly infected.

There can be no real civilized chat when 95% or more of the facts are simply not known.

Black lives matter is based on how much of the pertinent information is not known, cannot be a controlled chat, it is a chat about theocracy. Not theology, but theocracy. Which despite the issues involved, many western European cultures the base believe (theology) is that dark skinned people are inferior. Not much if anything will change that, and the culture has formed “rules” theocracy, to back up those beliefs. There is no way real techniques which can keep a conversation respectful or even under close to a mob situation when it is the theocracy of x versus the theocracy of y; they will battle it out because it is part of a basic belief system. Believe in the absurd can force a person and an entire culture to perform horrendous acts, because it is the will of (?) makes no difference what the word which preplaces the ? is. This is a perfect example of a teacher trying to either prove themselves a fool, or to remove and punish the troublemakers in that class. Not much of a way to conduct a class.

This discussion is a perfect example of what not to do in a class. The flickering lights is just another example of an out of control classroom.
