International Space Station
This is a piece of machinery which
has required the constant input and support from half a dozen or more
nations/cultures for the last several decades. This space station took over
after the Russia Space Station MIR outlived its usefulness.
MIR was more than a few decades old
and was not intended to last that long. It lived far beyond its
expected/designed lifespan. So it had to be replaced, the world space
agencies gathered their collective tax base to create enough funding and
trained personnel to staff with a minimum of 3 crew for the last decades
nonstop.
Originally the space station was
just large enough for a couple people to live and work long term. Now it has
expanded in size so much it can easily sustain a crew of a dozen.

Every culture
has its own unique set of group rules. Group A is almost always acceptable
behavior in almost all ways, Group B is grey area behavior and is dependent
on a number of different factors as to if those actions are acceptable and
in what format. Group C never acceptable under almost all to all situations.
Which is
usually divided into upper class, middle class, and lower class. The
actions of a culture are guided by these rules and those rules are very
difficult to change. What are this
cultures rules of acceptable order and how does this culture organize
itself according to class structure.
