The priorities of Ukraine are very complicated. Dozens and dozens of armies over the last 2000 years have marched through the area on their way to Moscow. From the Black Sea up to Moscow, 1000 miles, but still close to a straight shot.

Moscow only has about 6 major entrances for invaders to all but march straight into the heart of the country . Ukraine site on 2 of them.

Ukraine has been ruled over for most of its cultural existence by foreigners who had little to no real interest in what Ukraine wanted, only using them and the land for military and political gain. The Soviet Union and before that the Kingdom of Russia being just 2 of those invader cultures. Islam also did a number on the country from several directions over the last 1500 years. Since the Crimea itself and the Pripyat River are a major access point to Moscow from the Black sea.

Ukraine since the end of the Cold war and the collapse of the Soviet Union specifically the Warsaw Pact, which Ukraine was an extremely reluctant partner with Moscow. The country has been working towards a True Democracy, however election interference from Moscow has proved to be a huge issue for most of those decades. Rigged elections allowing pro soviet/Russia/Putin allied puppets to rule over Ukraine in a pretend election, which only those votes pro Russia were allowed. Pretending to be one person one vote but just like the American south the only people allowed to vote were those who were 100% guaranteed to vote the way the KKK wanted.

The Strengths of Ukraine are its political, diplomatic, and military positioning only 500 miles from Moscow, the top of the Black Sea, and the farthest East European country before Asia. It has large and an agreeable climate for crops, lots of different minerals, and a thriving sea port industrial structure. But those are also its greatest weaknesses. Since it has things the Global leaders want, and are not willing to take no for an answer. Much like an COP who has decided to arrest the perp, the law, crimes, etc. have zero influence over a cop who has decided to arrest the victim. The victim/slave will either OBEY or the slave/victim/perp is going to be tortured till the perp OBEYS the slave master. Only seeing the judge (which internationally the Hague only semi works, and only to a very limited amount) can the citizen/country/culture have the illusion of rights restored. It has several major rivers running through it, including the Prypia. Which feeds into the Black Sea, the Black Sea feeds directly into the Mediterranean on the far north east side of the Mediterranean. It has Europe to the west and asia to the East. Russia to the North, with Moscow only about 500 miles north. Its total land mass is 603,550 km (233,032 mi ). Although that for the last 18 months since the Ukraine Russia War started Feb 24, 2022 the boarders shift on an almost hourly basis.

Every culture living on planet earth has a past. From one second ago to the formation of the earth itself. Every piece of ground has a history. Different eco systems, differing flora and fauna, different types of creatures lived on it. Now it is human beings living on that area. But every time a group of humans live on a specifically defined by humans piece of earth the philosophy those humans live with can and will change. Sometimes drastically.

For example the National Basketball Association aka the NBA had a new team in New York city. That team took on the name Knickerbothers, which was a type of fashion that was going out of style when the Knicks formed. The LA lakers used to be the Minnesota Lakers, in recognition of the 10,000 lakes of Minnesota. Cultures change. Today the hight of fashion for men has been a Tuxedo, even European Royals wear a Tuxedo at the most formal of parties and events. But the Tuxedo was deisnged and worn for those people rich enough and of the correct cuturlal background from Tuxedo Park New York. About a dozen or more dance movies were either filmed at social clubs in that exclusive gated community of Tuxedo park new York, or sound stages were built to mimick what those places and stages looked like. It used to be most of what has become known as the fmilm and tv industry e.g. Hollywood started in Manhattin, but moved to LA from the 1920-1960s. Gunsmoke was filmed on a soundstage in a high rise down town manhatttin. Horses were elevatored to the 3^rd or other floor and were filmed doing their horse thing. However it became clear that a move to an actual back lock were instead of 20 feet to film in, film makers could flim over the course of miles of backlot. From now backwards, the ideas and concepts behind the land is used for what purpose and where different cultures move to through different reasons, track those things here.

IN any given culture there are always counts that are predictable and dependable. The President of the coulture will likely continue till that person is either killed, taken prisoner by the enemy, evacuates to a safer locatin in the country, or evacuates to a non extradition country. But then this active counts stop and his exile counts start.

For example the British Royal family have been in exile for more than half a millenia, having been forced to leave the UK in the 1500s. Although out of shear requirement most college and universties in Ukraine have been shut down for the war. Where civilians gather in large numbers has been a specific target the Russian army aims its missles at. To kill as many civilians as possible.

However just like the structure of K-12, higher education is also styelized and linked. Ukraine and the current President Zelenskyy operates as a semi combination of a PM, President, and Monarch. Legally and politically his position is semi unclear. In part because of the very recent past of Ukraine, the country has operated as a puppet of the first Soviet then under direct influence from Putin from the end of the Cold War to just a few years ago.

For example in Whatcom county, you have Lynden which is an oddly designed community which is actually really small but as of the 1980s there were still active sundowner laws , which in some ways are still very much in effect. But Bellingham just 13 miles away is a bastion of Pictish Liberals. Pictish are a very very different culture self-identify to other types of liberals.

How this applies to Ukraine, there is a cultural Ukraine identity, with a variety of the population of the country being still very much loyal not to Ukraine but to Russia.
