Introduction This deck comes entirely from my own research into the concept of what made the runes in the first place. I was struck with the idea that the Nordic Germanic runic Elder Futhark had this word in the middle of it that told volumes. That word is Rune, or the original Runa “Secret or hidden meaning” that phrase secret or hidden always stuck out in my mind as to why calling something secret was a good thing. After reading about the obvious problems involved with the Northern European Nations from 500 c. e. To the late 1500 c. e. It does not take too much of a logical leap of thought to figure out that Northern Europeans hid there cultural secrets in the language they left behind. The best place to hide something is in plane site, call the secret a secret and before long it becomes a commune myth, then legend, and then forgotten. So I took the task upon myself to instead of reading the Edda’s that every rune person is support to read. I read history and archaeology. Much more interesting things in history and archaeology then can be described. I also read books written by people who studied the Edda’s. Put the history together with the archaeology and added the knowledge of the rune scholars and came up with some truly incredible ideas. For instance, the runes where created in Northern Europe, first off the word Nordic used to mean any and everything north of the alps. Second the rune symbols and language over the span of a couple hundred miles and across dozens of cultures the rune languages seamed to just appear overnight. They where not there one minute and there the next. Third the same characters with similar names and meanings over all those culture lines, within a few years of each other. All that adds up to me to be a bit on the massive coincidence side. Next this that just reached up and grabbed my attention was that the history and architecture from the North meant they had to have some level of spoken and written communication and some from or mathematics, or they would not be able to do most if not any to the things the Northern Europeans did do.
